The Manton Rotary understands the importance of reading. To help celebrate March is Reading Month, the Rotary purchased a new book for every kindergartner at Manton Schools. Rotary members Len Morrow, Rich Harmon, Diane Siddall and Jim Sherburne came to the school to read "Splat the Cat, I Scream for Ice Cream", "Moosetache", "Pugs in a Bug", and "Sophie Johnson, Unicorn Expert" to the students.

When Manton Rotary was asked if they could assist in helping fund the cost of providing water and sewer to the new Manton Schools Wellness Center the Club eagerly jumped on board by pledging $1,000 towards this worthwhile venture. The Club then approached the Cadillac Rotary Club and Mercy Hospital for support and each donated $1,000.  To keep the ball rolling toward the clinic's $5,000 goal, Assistant Rotarian Governor Linda Kimbel doubled the Manton and Cadillac Rotary donations by writing and submitting a matching funds grant to Rotary International. When all was said and done, the clinic raised the $5,000 needed to complete this necessary project.
